Our Philosophy

Up until very recently, merchant banking was not about agency business, proprietary trading or fee based advice.  Historically, capitalism worked because those that provided finance risked their own capital alongside the investors they introduced to an opportunity.

Merchant banks often backed ventures on the far side of the globe, where the opportunities were greatest because the frontier economies were not hindered by mercantilism, monopoly or anything but the willingness to take and manage risks.

Under this system capitalism thrived, empires were won and fortunes made. At Craven House Capital we aim to emulate the spirit of the old world merchant banking houses that ventured beyond the horizon by backing intrepid entrepreneurs and taking the same risks as our clients.
